Nature and Medieval History

It is the southernmost beech forest in Europe and UNESCO Natural Heritage. Some trees are up to 300 years old, and the forest is home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. Walking around, you will feel like in a fairy tale.

This 12th century Romanesque church is as beautiful as unexpected. Located in the middle of the Segovian landscape, it has an arcade entrance and the capitals are a real medieval treasure.

Santa Maria is a Gothic church from the 15th century and one of the treasures that you are going to visit in Aranda. The entrance has so many details that you will need to take some time to admire them. Its vaults and huge pointed arches are startling.

You are going to visit one of the oldest palaces in Aranda and one of the best preserved. It is a perfect example of the Castilian architecture during the 15th century. On the facade you can observe the family shields and in the arcade courtyard still conserved the wooden columns.

This underground cellar, from the 13th century, is a wine museum where you will learn about the DOP Rivera del Duero and you will have the opportunity to taste a glass of wine.
